About Me
Hi folks!
Nice to meet ya! My name is Heather (she/they) and I’m a tattooist based in “Vancouver”. I was born in Korea and grew up in Vancouver, BC.
Though I mostly tattoo, I love exploring new art mediums and rediscovering old ones (painting, pottery, crocheting, etc). Lately, I’ve been super into lino printing and pottery. And I’m always excited to see what medium I’ll throw myself into next! Hope you enjoy following my journey in art as much as I do.
I’m a self and community taught tattooist since 2019. Special thanks to all my friends who trusted me with some of my first tattoos! I would not be here without your encouragement and support. I have really been blessed with the people in my life. I don’t understand how I ended up being surrounded by the most loving, kind, and genuine people. Everyday I wake up and I’m baffled by the love. All you folks are what push me to do more, do better, and constantly work towards finding ways to give back to our community.
Anyways, thank you for reading and getting to know me!
I appreciate you <3
Love,
Heather :)
About the Space
Slowside Tattoo Studio is an appointment-only studio in the Chinatown neighbourhood of “Vancouver”, BC.
Slowside is a cozy space for you to come as you are. We want everyone to feel welcome and cared for. I am endlessly grateful that you choose to be in our space and trust me with your tattoos. Tattooing is an incredibly special and vulnerable experience, and we want to make it as enjoyable as possible. With large east and south facing windows, our studio gets lots of natural light.
The building is accessible by public transit, and I recommend parking at Chinatown Plaza (108 Keefer St). An elevator or stairs is required to get up to our studio, so please let me know if there are any accessibility concerns and I can make the proper arrangements.
There is a waiting area, so you are welcome to bring a friend but there is not quite enough room for a party.
Slowside Tattoo Studio is located on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

We are adjacent to the Downtown Eastside (DTES) neighbourhood, which is one of Vancouver's oldest neighbourhoods, and the historic heart of the city.
The DTES has many assets, especially for its low-income residents, who appreciate feeling accepted and at home, and benefit from living near health and social services.
In recent years, the Downtown Eastside has struggled with many complex challenges including drug use, housing instability, unemployment, and loss of businesses in the community.
